October half term week is pumpkin week at Crockford Bridge Farm in Surrey, about a 45 minute drive from us. We had never picked pumpkins or gone to a pumpkin event before, but after receiving an inspirational crystal ball reading about Samhain from my friend Kelly-Ann a few days before, Talim and I juggled a few things around and managed to squeeze in a trip to pick some mini pumpkins. Thursday was the only day we had free, and unfortunately it was drizzling all day, but we still had fun. Here are some pictures from our day out!
We loved the decor and displays they had. The farm was really nicely done and was set up with play areas, a shack to get some hot drinks (though I didn’t see any non-dairy milk), and face painting for kids. Talim chose a flaming skull. The pumpkin picking area was a lot of fun to rummage through, even if we had to wait until the rain stopped! They even had a pumpkin carving area set up so that you could carve your pumpkins there and then. We decided to take ours home.
